Rain and winds damage Wildlife in Crisis Centre

Rainstorm and winds are the cause of the damage at the Wildlife in Crisis Centre.

During a storm, with winds of up to 50km per hour, incredible damage was done to the main clinic area at the Wildlife in Crisis Centre in Vischkuil on Friday night.

According to Vanessa Davis, the centre’s public relations person, she rushed to the scene after she received a distressed phone call at 9.30pm, from Judy Pollard.

“We have moved the vivid monkeys, meerkats and the bulk of the birds to a cottage on the premises,” she says.

The damaged to the centre has not been established yet, but the cause can be attributed to a big Bluegum tree which fell on top of the building.
