Family picnic on the banks of Blesbokspruit

The Rotary Club of Springs Park held their annual Rhythm by the River day on the banks of the Blesbokspruit at Grootvaly on Sunday afternoon.

Mary Reynolds, a member of the Rotary Club of Springs Park, made the special day happen by opening her home to the people of Springs and its surroundings.

The heat of the day didn’t deter the guests who made themselves at home in the shade, on the bank of the river while enjoying the view.

Children and adults alike were having fun on the grass, kicking and throwing balls, making friends and just having a relaxing day.

“It was such an amazing day,” says Mary, “everything was amazing, the weather, the attendance and the vibe.

“It was just fabulous and we truly enjoyed it.”

Braais were put on one side of the massive plot where men and women stood around, chatting and laughing, while cooking their food and having a family picnic.

A jumping castle was also set up for the children who enjoyed the activity immensely.

Brian Chubb entertained the guests throughout the day with live entertainment, ensuring a constant, relaxing vibe greeted the guests at all times.
