Capt Thabo Sibuyi, KwaThema police spokesman, says the court is waiting for the forensic reports.

The woman is being accused of allegedly feeding her two children rat poison mixed with yoghurt, before poisoning herself, at her home in KwaThema on September 1.

The three of them were taken to a nearby hospital, but the woman’s 10-month-old baby died en-route.

“Bail was extended, as well,” says Sibuyi.

The woman was granted bail of R2 000, at her first court appearance on September 16.
