The accused appeared in court briefly before the case was postponed to October 24.
He faces a charge of possession of drugs.
Capt Johannes Ramphora, the Springs police spokesman, says the accused was arrested in the CBD by the police on October 7.

“He was arrested during an SAPS crime prevention operation to combat illegal mining and drugs,” says Ramphora.
The accused was searched during the operation and arrested for possession of drugs.

He remains in the Modderbee Prison until his next court appearance.
