Video: People, Pokémon Go is here – Catch ’em all

While many players may have used an APK file to download the game in SA before its release here, the gaming app is now officially available.

Die-hard Pokémon fans can now have the chance to play the virtual reality game on their phones and get some exercise at the same time, because yes, the game requires you to walk around.

The game works by using your phone’s GPS to assess your real location to show you where the closest Pokémon and gyms are.

The game picks up your steps and how far you walked, when it reaches a certain speed, it will assume you are driving and you cannot complete some of the game’s tasks.
