Woman refuses to undress herself

A woman was ordered to undress herself by an armed suspect during a house robbery in Park Avenue, Springs CBD on Monday.

According to Springs police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora the woman was about the leave for work at 7.15am when she noticed an unknown man, armed with a knife, in the kitchen.

The suspect allegedly threatened to kill her if she screamed before asking her for cash and jewellery.

“She was ordered to go to the bedroom where he asked her to undress herself, but she refused,” says Ramphora.

The suspect again ordered her not to scream, left the room and closed the door behind him.

Ramphora says the woman was too scared to move or scream and waited in the bedroom for about an hour, before she called for help.

A laptop, cellphone, one gold and two silver wrist watches and R2 000 in cash were taken from the house.

The suspect took the stolen goods and fled the scene.

No arrests have been made.
