Business adopt O’Hagans as part of Springs Clean Project

A group of local businessmen and women hosted an O'Hagans public fun day on Zig Zag Road, CBD on Tuesday.

The project was initiated by business woman Karin Tocher who was assisted by the Eastern Gauteng Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EGCCI).

Tocher’s square-up clean-up initiative is part of the EGCCI Springs Clean Project where businesses continue to contribute to a crime free and cleaner Springs.

Several businesses in the area partnered with Tocher and the EGCCI’s cleaning project.

“We have adopted this and the Ekurhuleni Metro offered their services by cleaning the area,” says Tocher.

Renette Venter from a local bank encourages other banks to take pride in the community and to contribute to a cleaner and greener environment.

Springs resident Koos Erasmus offered his assistance to sell boerewors rolls and the proceeds will go towards the project.

The metro and local businesses will maintain the area in the future.

Koos Erasmus makes sure the word is ready before the rush of potential boerewors buyers arrive at O’Hagans to support the EGCCI’s Springs Clean Project.
