The results achieved by the Grade 11 learners are:
Julian Masindi received an A++ for his verse speaking and Shepherd Maele received an A++ for public speaking.
Ntokozo Mtsweni obtained an A++ for dramatised prose and poetry, as well as A++ prestige and A++ for public speaking.
He also received a senior trophy award for most promising speech, was nominated as the trophy winner for sight reading and was the trophy winner for his characterisation.
Lebo Kekana and Manessa Ndimande received an A++ for public speaking.
Marshal Gowere received an A+ for verse speaking and an A++ for impromptu public speaking.
Tinyiko Mtsweni obtained an A++ for both public speaking and impromptu public speaking and was also awarded the dramatised prose senior floating trophy.
Absent from the photo: Jerry Makgalemele (Grade Nine) received an A++ for impromptu public speaking and Musa Mabena (Grade 10) received an A++ for his impromptu public speaking.
English teacher Gabi Willis says this year SBHS has had a fantastic run at the festival and is proud of the participants.
The Afrikaans part of the festival is currently underway.
