Suspect arrested for possession of stolen property

On Sunday, while police were patrolling in the vicinity of Eastvale, they received a complaint of a house robbery.

The incident took place next to Eastvale, at around 5.45pm.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, the Springs police spokesman, says when the officers arrived at the scene they found the complainant (age unknown), who pointed out the suspect who had allegedly stolen his groceries, valued at R149.

The suspect was arrested for possession of stolen property and taken to the police cells.

Ramphora says he will appear in court soon.
