Dr Johan Terblanche (72), who was born on Ocotber 10, 1944 died on Monday.
Education: Laerskool Jan van Riebeeck and Hoër Seunsskool Hugenote.
Career: Terblanche completed his M.B. Ch.B honours degree at the University of Pretoria before he began his medical practice.
He retired in 2014 after serving as a medical doctor in Springs for 44 years.
Community: Terblanche served as the mayor of Springs in 1982 and 1983.
He was also part of the school governing body ast Hoërskool Hugenote and served on the NG Kerk Presidentsoord’s church council for many years.
Family: He is survived by his wife Riette Terblanche (70), his son Dr André Terblanche, his daughter-in-law Lynette Terblanche and two grandchildren.
Funeral: A memorial service will be held at the NG Kerk Presidentsoord, Strakosch Circle, Petersfield at 10am on Saturday
Riette asked the community not to send flowers but to rather donate money that she can in return donate to the Bible Society for Bible distribution.
