In response to this general complaint, Themba Gadebe, Ekurhuleni Metro spokesman, says residents who come across areas with missing manhole covers should report the matter, and where the problem is located, to the metro’s call centre on 086 054 3000.

Residents can also report problems to the Springs Customer Call Centre in Plantation Road, CBD.

“Residents are also encouraged to log a follow-up complaint should they be dissatisfied with the repair work,” says Gadebe.
