The victim was asleep when he heard someone jumping into his bedroom from the ceiling.
Springs police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora says when the victim screamed, the suspect pointed a firearm at him.
The suspect was joined by two more suspects who demanded cash from the victim.
Ramphora says the suspects assaulted the victim and took a TV, two cellphones, iPad and a wallet containing cash.
A case of house robbery is being investigated.
