Rugby boys make Veritas proud

Veritas College rugby team recently participated in the Warriors 7’s Rugby League which has resulted in some astounding successes says rugby coach Justin Brink.

“The league, mainly made up of independent schools, enabled Veritas College to enter two teams: the u-15s and open team,” says Justin.

Justin says the Veritas boys played exciting and enterprising rugby over five weeks, after which the u-15 boys made the Cup Final whilst the open team reached the Bowl Final.

“A high-spirited and motivated Veritas u-15 team was crowned the Warriors League champions for 2016 after beating Alma Mater from Krugersdorp 38-27,” adds Justin.

The open team won the Bowl Final after dominating Trinity House Little Falls and beating them convincingly with a score of 27-0.

“The rugby boys have made Veritas College exceptionally proud,” says Justin.
