Read: Stadium turns into storage facility
EMPD spokesman Wilfred Kgasago says the vehicles have since been removed.
“The vehicles were removed in May,” says Kgasago.
Kgasago adds that the vehicles were removed because of concerns raised by the community.
“The concerns were related to associated risks, as well as the need for a sports facility,” he says.
Kgasago says the vehicles are due for disposal.
“The report to auction them has not been approved by the council yet,” says Kgasago.
“In future, vehicles will be stored at Springs storage yard and any other suitable council property.
“Pam Brink will not be used again,” he adds.
