Four tied up and robbed in house robbery

A Dersley couple and their daughter were robbed by three suspects in their home last Tuesday morning.

Local police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora says at 6.20am the complainant went to his garage, when he noticed a suspect jump up from behind a drum.

The accused pointed a firearm at him and took the husband into the house.

“The suspect in the house then opened the kitchen door, for two of his accomplices to enter.

“The couple was then tied up in the main bedroom while the suspects ransacked the house.

“During this, the daughter and her boyfriend heard the commotion and went to look at what was going on, but were seen by the suspects who opted to take everyone to the sitting room and tied them up there,” Ramphora says.

The suspects took phones and a digital camera and fled the scene.
