They only spent one night in the police cells and before appearing in court the next day they were released.
Springs police spokesman, Capt Johannes Ramphora says mediation took place.
“The case was settled outside of court,” says Ramphora.
Linda Mlindo (28), was assaulted by six men on May 30 at a garage in Springs West Road, Dal Fouche.
He was kicked and received several punches from his attackers and was left unconscious.
