Robbers get away with valuables

Four suspects, two armed with a firearms, robbed a Nuffield business.

Springs police are looking for four suspects after an armed robbery in Miller Road, Nuffield on Wednesday.

A security guard was tied up during the incident.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, police spokesman says the 42-year-old guard was busy painting the workshop when he was approached by four suspects, two armed with firearms.

“The two suspects pointed their guns at him while the other two tied him up with ropes,” says Ramphora.

After searching the guard, they took his gate remote control, but left his cellphone on the table.

The suspects took two laptops, an iPad, tools, a motorcycle and cables to the value of R96 000.

Ramphora says the suspects gained entry to the premises by breaking down the wall at the back of the premises.

No arrests have been made.
