According to Johan Kruger, South African Post Office spokesman, the doors were locked by the landlord due to a rental dispute.
However, the problems were solved and a financial arrangement has been made between the South African Post Office and the landlord, to pay the amount in arrears.
The post was transferred in boxes to Riverfield Post Office in Petersfield and was distributed from there.
“We apologise for the inconvenience,” says Kruger.
