Excellence a habit for girls in green

Springs Girls' High School's learners prove, once more, that excellence is indeed a habit for them, as they excel in their respective sporting disciplines of hockey and netball.

Millicent Motha and Rukshana Khan have been selected to represent the Eastern Gauteng Schools’ u19 hockey team.

This will be taking place at the upcoming Inter-Provincial Schools’ Hockey Tournament, during the July school holidays.

“This is a great achievement as both are u17 players,” says Sharon West, the school’s sports co-coordinator.

Hope Mahlangu has been selected for the highest achievement in netball, which is playing for the Gauteng Schools’ Provincial netball team for 2016.

“We are very proud of Hope,” says Sharon, “she went through four rounds of trials to achieve this honour.”

The final round of trials culminated on May 7.
