The male driver was sitting in a parked silver VW Vivo when three unknown men, one armed with a pistol, approached the vehicle.
The suspect with the pistol pointed it at the driver and instructed him to get out of the vehicle.
Springs police spokesman, Capt Johannes Ramphora says the suspect threatened to shoot the driver.
“It was at this point that the suspects took their chance, jumped into the vehicle and drove off,” he says.
The driver opened a case at the Springs Police Station and the police are investigating the matter.
