‘My son (3) is distraught – he can’t sleep’

Simone Kotze and her family, who live down the road from Carnival City, in Brakpan, says her three-year-old son is distraught and cannot sleep without his best friend.

“Her name is Aphrodite, but my son calls her Dite,” says Simone.

The black and white pitbull disappeared on April 26 near Carnival City.

The family originally offered a R1 000 reward for Aphrodite’s safe return, but Simone says she is so desperate at the moment that she has raised the reward to R2 000.
