The South African Weather Service has issued an alert for cold conditions starting on Saturday.
The cold front is expected to hit after reports of possible snow in the Western Cape.
Temperatures are expected to reach a maximum of 21°C on Saturday and 17°C on Sunday with minimum temperatures of 7°C and 6°C respectively.
The cold front is expected to continue through to next week.
Tips to keep out the cold (according to our very own ‘expertise’):
- Snuggle up on the couch with a blanket and a steamy cup of delicious hot chocolate.
- Light the fireplace and enjoy a cozy day indoors.
- Grab a bunch of blankets, put on some slippers and switch on a movie.
- Stay in bed.
If it is a must that you have to go out:
- Wear woolly boots, thick jackets and two pairs of pants.
- Put on three pairs of socks.
Note: This may be overdoing it, but for eager winter lovers, it hits the spot perfectly.
Also note: This is not expert advise, but we think these are all marvelous ideas.
