The man who discovered the body in Colliery Road at 7.15am immediately informed the police.
According to Springs police spokesman, Capt Johannes Ramphora, they found scratch marks on the deceased’s face and neck.
“We found a black and pink wig next to the body, but no identification or clothes,” says Ramphora.
To enable the police to investigate, they ask for the assistance of the community in finding the woman’s family.
The cause of death is unknown at this stage.
“We are concerned as it is the second unknown naked body found in a period of two weeks,” Ramphora adds.
