Residents of the East Rand, especially Springsites who like the idea of shopping closer to home, will enjoy the new Makro store opening on our doorstep next Wednesday.
Makro Carnival opens on April 20 at 16 Beechwood Street, Dalpark, Ext19, Brakpan.
The addition of this environmentally friendly Makro store in the area has had a positive effect on job creation in the community, employing 387 full-time staff complement, with local community residents accounting for 80% of the total.
Makro Carnival is over 22 000m2 in size, with 13 500m2 of trading space, making it the biggest Makro store to date.
The Makro Carnival opening promises to be the biggest store opening this year!
Expect big opening deals, loads of spot prizes and cool giveaways.
Trading begins at 7am on and gates will close at 6pm.
Customers attending the opening will be entertained by talented local musicians Lloyd Cele and Heinz Winkler.
They will also rub shoulders with lead actors from the romantic adventure film, Vir Altyd, who will be in attendance.
In order to shop at the new Makro you will need to bring along your Makro store card.
For those shoppers who do not have one online or telephonically is free and simple.

The Makro access card is not a credit card and does not need to be renewed annually – it is free and there are no fees charged but shopping is not possible without one.
Customers wanting to purchase a TV will need to bring along an existing TV licence, drivers licence, ID or apply for one on the day.
Those hoping to purchase cellphones will need to bring an ID and proof of residence for RICA purposes.
