When the boy arrived home after school, he noticed a silver Toyota Venture parked in front of his house.
According to Springs police spokesman, Capt Johannes Ramphora, the boy entered the house through the back door and encountered two armed robbers.
“The intruders threatened to hurt him,” he says.
”The robbers took a cellphone and TV from one of the rooms and another TV from one of the other rooms, before they left the house.”
Ramphora says the boy was unharmed, but traumatised.
