Potters’ Easter treat

The children from The Potters Haven enjoyed an Easter Egg hunt on Sunday.

Bikers from the newly established Valhalla Motorcycle Club, took the trip to the foster cluster to spoil the children with Easter Eggs, popcorn and cold drinks.

Tracy Collins, club secretary, says she has a special place for these children.

“I have dealt with Marlene Minnie in the past and decided to continue with our support,” she says.

Tracy’s husband, Gary Collins, the president of the club, has an absolute passion for charity.

She says he started his own bike club and registered the club at the East Rand President’s Council.

The new club is not allowed to host any official day jols for the first three years, but that didn’t put them off from finding other means to raise funds for the children.

“Looking at these children develops a need to try and make a difference in their lives, even if it is just for one day,” says Tracy.

This would not have been possible without the sponsors, which all the club members are grateful for.
