Springs sisters to model in Los Angeles

Two sisters from Springs model their way to Los Angeles for a second time.

Gabriella Cameron (13), a Grade Eight pupil from Hoërskool Die Anker, and Ava (9), a Grade Four pupil from Laerskool Jan van Riebeeck, have been chosen to represent themselves and South Africa at iPop (International Presentation of Performers) in Los Angeles, in July.

“The girls have to prepare a commercial, monologue, scene and ramp walk in modelling,” says Je-nean Cameron, mother of the pair.

“Ava will also take up dancing in the form of ballet this year.”

Je-nean states that iPop is the world’s leading talent event and promotes emerging talent to leading agents, managers and casting directors.

iPop talent comes from all over the globe, including the United States, Canada, Latin America, Asia and the UK.

There will be 220 scouts from all over America to audition boys and girls from across the world.

“They have clients in hit shows such as Shake it up, Jessie, Sonny with a chance, True Blood and many many more,” Je-nean says.

“This will be the second time that the girls will audition in Los Angeles.”
