Robbers point gun at boy (17)

Five armed suspects surprised a 17-year-old boy when he arrived home in Sebakwe Road, Selcourt, on Tuesday.

When he arrived home at 4.30pm he found an unknown man outside the yard who informed him he was there to fix a vehicle parked inside the yard.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, said the boy thought nothing of it and entered the premises.

When he entered the yard he saw four men busy working on his mother’s car.

Not suspecting anything, the boy entered the house.

The four suspects, accompanied by the one who was outside the property, followed the boy into the house.

The suspects were all armed, and one of them pulled out a gun and pointed it at the boy.

“The boy was in shock as he watched while the suspects took the TV, a hard drive and Xbox,” said Ramphora.

No shots were fired.

After taking what they had come for, the suspects left the house without harming the boy.

Making sure he was alone, the boy phoned his mother to describe the incident, and she then alerted the police.

“We are investigating the case,” said Ramphora.
