Families cheer children at Wheel Derby

St Catherine’s Nursery School hosted its annual Wheel Derby on Saturday.

This event is a favourite with the children and they had a wonderful day showing off their riding skills to all.

Children brought their own prams, bicycles and tricycles to ride and were sponsored per leg by their family members.

They raced around the traffic cones, most of them chased by their excited parents, who cheered when their child crossed the finish line.

The event is always well supported by the children and their extended families and friends.

Terry Ramos, school principal, says the children “fished” for prizes, had their faces painted and best of all, played with all their friends.

The tea garden was there for those who wanted to sit and catch up with friends over a cappuccino and a slice of cake.

The school is fortunate to have active and hard-working staff members who pulled this fantastic event together.

Even the wors rolls were expertly prepared.

St Catherine’s Nursery School is a non-profit Christian nursery school which relies on events such as this to help with funding.
