According to the police spokesperson, Capt Johannes Ramphora, the incident took place at Rowhill in End Street.
“Three armed robbers entered the home where they found the home owners sleeping.
“They then woke them up and tied them with cable ties and forced them to open the safe.
“The suspects took three firearms, numerous electrical appliances and a Mazda double cab and fled the scene,” says Ramphora.
A case of house robbery has been opened at the Springs Police Station.
