What to do at an interview
Kwatsaduza – When the new year sets in, school leavers set out to find new jobs, while those who have been in the job market sometimes start looking at changing their careers or workplace.
There are things that can help you make a good impression at your potential new job:
- Make sure that your dress appropriately for the interview and industry you are going into.
- Have some background information about the company you want to go work for and the position you have applied for.
- Be on time and know the exact location of where the interview will be held.
- Give a firm handshake, make eye contact with the person interviewing you and be friendly.
- Sit still and do not fidget or slouch.
- Listen carefully to questions and respond as truthfully as possible.
- Have intelligent questions for the person who is interviewing you.
- Ensure that you understand the employer’s next step in the hiring process.
