Buy stationery before New Year

Schools have all the items needed on their back to school stationary list for Grade One and Eight.

According to Magda Pretorius, most schools provide stationery packages which makes it so much easier for parents and at a reasonable price.

“We avoid shopping around to find stationery,” she says.

Visiting the shops before everyone else does before the schools open, will avoid the rush and people will find everything they need before it may be sold out.

Magda says when they are looking for specific stationery items that are not provided by the school, it gives them enough time to shop around before the rush.

This will also give the shops to order special stationary products such as craft paints or technical equipment that may be required for certain subjects at school.

Another useful tip is to budget properly and avoid unnecessary financial strain on your budget and visit your back to school stationary supplier before you go off on holiday and spend too much money on Christmas presents.

Rather purchase the stationary, pencil cases, school uniforms and ergonomic backpacks before spending money on holiday treats.

“Everything has gone up, and you will be surprised at how expensive stationary are, especially if your child is going to grade Eight,” she says.

Magda suggests people should try to obtain stationery items from large stationary stores as they are generally cheaper than smaller stationary suppliers.
