Easy steps on how to make a snowman

Use the holiday to be creative and make a decorative snowman, it can only be fun, especially when the children can help.

The snowman decoration is an inexpensive way of making Christmas table decorations and have fun making it.

What is needed: 

• A white sock
•  Rubber bands
• Buttons
• Red felt to cut out in small circles for the mouth
• Dry beans or rice
• Glue gun
• Piece of Christmas material
• Permanent marker.

Follow these instructions and in no time there will be an addition to the list of decorations.

• Fill the bottom of the sock with dry beans or rice until it is about 3/4 filled to the heel.
• Tie a rubber band tightly around the sock just above the beans and rice
• Fill the next section with cotton and make sure to leave a space on the top.
•  Secure the top with a rubber band.

Make sure the sock snowman can stand.

• Fold the open end of the sock over itself, it should look like a beanie or a hat.

Decorating the snowman can be fun.

• Glue buttons to the snowman for his eyes and also glue them on the shirt in the front.
• Use a permanent marker to draw a mouth or glue felt on as a mouth
• Cut a strip of the Christmas material and wrap the scarf around the snowman’s neck.
• Cut two small holes in the sides of the snowman and place two small sticks in the holes as arms.
• A colourful or black band can be placed around the “beanie” as well.

The snowman can also be a gift to someone.
