Buy the correct gift

Christmas is the time for giving therefore it is important to know what to give to your friends or loved ones.

Everyone thinks it is the thought that counts, but there are a few items that should never be given as gifts.

Presents should be enjoyed by the receiver and not make them feel bad.

When you don’t know what gift to buy rather give money or a gift voucher instead of a gift that is not usable or insensitive.

One such insensitive gift is a bathroom scale. Unless the person on the receiving end gave a Christmas wishlist containing this item, it is a definite no-no.

Bath salts, shower gel and toiletries should not be on the list at all.

These gifts are rather classified as personal birthday gifts and don’t fall under the Christmas list.

Some people are under the impression that what they want or like the receiver should also like.

Ever watched a child open a Christmas gift, or any other gift? They get all excited and shake the gift to inspect for any clue on its content. Can you imagine their facial expression when they open the gift and it is not what was written on their letter to Christmas Father? This is very much the same with adults receiving an unwanted gift.

Therefore look out for the facial expressions of family and friends this Christmas, it should tell the giver exactly whether their gift hit the right spot.
