“Unfortunately Jacob Zuma cannot lead, his continuous actions and decisions are ruining South Africa.”
These are the words in a letter for a petition, to force president Jacob Zuma to step down, which is currently being circulated on social media.
The petition was started by Brent Lindeque and within a day, already had 49 888 supporters who signed the petition by 12.30pm today (Friday).
Currently trending on Twitter, the #ZumaMustFall petition has sparked response from thousands of people.
The entire letter read:
“It’s simple… lead or step down.
“And unfortunately Jacob Zuma cannot lead.
“His continuous actions and decisions are ruining South Africa.
“Our unemployment has never been higher.
“Crime and corruption have become a standard.
“Government are pillaging our taxes and our economy is at a tipping point.
“We need change.
“Hopefully a petition can showcase how many people want change and hopefully together we can create that change.
“The only reason politicians have power is because the people give it to them…”
