Three men take off in new Audi Q5

Three men stole a new Audi Q5 from the Princess Audi dealership in the CBD, on Tuesday.

The men arrived at the dealership in a white Toyota Etios, claiming they had been sent to install a tracking device into the vehicle.

The brand new silver car was parked in a wash bay at the back of the premises.

CCTV footage of the incident shows the three suspects entering the premises in the Etios at 1.39pm.

One of the suspects gets out of the Etios and speaks to personnel at the wash bay informing them they are there to install a tracking device into the Audi.

Two of the suspects then leave in the Etios, while the other suspect gets into the Audi and drives off.

Marie Truter, Princess Audi service manager, says the dealership only deals with one specific tracking company.

She says it all happened so fast and within two minutes both vehicles had left the scene.

“We called the police immediately,” she says.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, confirmed the theft and says police are investigating.
