The Rotary Club of Springs Park celebrated their annual Rhythm by the River with a picnic on the banks of the Blesbokspruit at Grootvaly on Sunday afternoon.
This family enjoyed the sun to its fullest when they chose a picnic spot next to the river. They are, Ayden (4, left), Charlene (29), Kevin (6) and Jason (9) van der Westhuizen, and Nickey (53) and Christene Roe (28).
Mary Reynolds, a member of the Rotary Club of Springs Park, opened her home at the small holding for the annual event.
The afternoon saw people relaxing in the shade of the trees, enjoying conversation, and no one seemed disturbed by the extreme heat of the day.
Children played on the grass and parents enjoyed the scenic landscape to the fullest.Men were standing around the braai on the riverbank to cook a delicious meal for their families.
Live entertainment in the form of the Springs Boys’ High School band, the Sitnandizingane performers, as well as Pieter Jordaan, provided entertainment to the relaxed picnic goers.

Numerous people enjoyed a picnic at the Rhythm by the River which was held on Sunday at Mary Reynold’s home in Grootvaly on the banks of the Blesbokspruit.
