Aston Lake residents have had no service delivery for more than four months.
The area falls under the Lesedi Local Municipality and resident Martha Botha (47) says she attempted to phone various people to have the problem resolved and even paid a visit to the municipality.
She has had no luck with the matter and feels that the situation is getting out of control.
“I’m between 15 flats and can you imagine the amount of garbage that hasn’t been removed for four months?”
Botha explains they are now experiencing a problem with snakes and flies in the area.”This is a health risk now and it’s only getting worse,” she says.
Botha is waiting for an official from Lesedi to contact her regarding her complaint, but was not contacted at the time of going to print.
The Addie is awaiting comment from the municipality.
