Two injured after car drives off bridge
The driver of a vehicle who drove off the Plantation Road bridge onto Springs West Road, Pollak Park, on Thursday, fled the scene of the accident.
EMPD officers Louis Els and Louwtjie du Toit arrived at the scene at midnight and found two injured woman in a red Mazda Etude.
The driver was nowhere to be found.
Maponya 911 ambulance paramedics treated the women and transported them to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Cases of reckless and negligent driving and leaving the scene of an accident were opened at the Springs Police Station and will be investigated.
