According to Springs police spokesman, Capt Johannes Ramphora, the man was allegedly assaulted by a group of people late on Tuesday, but the man refused to be taken to hospital for treatment.
“We are not sure who attacked the man and for what reason,” he says.
The community called police to the settlement at 8am, and upon arrival they found the assaulted man’s lifeless body.
“We urge the community to come forward with information that may assist us in solving this case,” says Ramphora.
