Community supports Duck Day

The third annual Selcourt Enclosure Duck Day was held on Saturday.

The number of stall holders and community members in attendance demonstrated the day’s popularity and a lovely day was held next to the duck pond.

Duck Day committee member Judy Jones confirms it was another successful day.

“We spread the stalls out more for a better flow,” she says.

DJ Travis Reed entertained the crowd in the morning while the band, Children of Day, made sure there was enough entertainment for the rest of the day.

During the course of the morning, students from three different dance studios demonstrated their dancing skills.

According to Lisa Clarke, chairman of the Duck Day committee, there was a constant flow of people all day.

A variety of food stalls catered for all tastes and there were interesting and creative arts and crafts on sale.

The candle making stall was abuzz with children making their own colourful candles in different shapes and sizes.

All profits will go towards maintaining the two parks in the enclosure.
