Woman wakes up to puppy’s bark

Two robbers tried to pull a woman through a bedroom window at an address along Marlu Street, Selcourt, on Friday.

A woman and her husband were asleep at 4am, when the woman heard a puppy barking.

Springs police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora says she went to investigate and found a window in the house was wide open and the computer and tablet that was on the desk were missing.

She peeped through the window and saw two men outside, who grabbed her arms and tried to pull her through the window.

Ramphora says the woman started screaming and her husband came to her rescue.

The two robbers fled the scene.

The value of the items taken is about R6 000.
