Possible terrorist threat in SA on American citizens – US warns
The United States Diplomatic Mission to South Africa issued a statement today warning that extremists may be targeting US interests in South Africa.
The statement reads that they have received information of possible terrorist attacks and has put US government and other facilities identifiable with US business interests, on alert.
No additional information on possible attacks has been provided.
US citizens are advised in the statement to review their personal security plans, remain aware and vigilant of their surroundings even at local events, to monitor local news stations for updates and to follow instructions from local authorities.
