An EMPD officer, Louis Els, responded to a call at 7pm, about an accident on the corner of Springs West Road and Tonk Meter Way.
When he arrived on the scene, he found a taxi and another vehicle had collided on the corner of the intersection.
Netcare 911 paramedics treated a passenger on the scene and transported her to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.
Els says the traffic was back to normal an hour after the collision.
He adds that they are still investigating the cause of the accident.
