Lindsay Harris-Dewey, financial manager for the business, says the employees gave money and the company matched the amount.
These employee used the money to buy the 109 blankets, pencil cases and scarves for 60 children.
Heather Cunningham, the secretary at Vita Nova Centre, was touched by the donation.
“We appreciate the time they have spent with us and that they care about the residents,” she says.
Tish Gouws, manager of Squirrels Hostel (for residents aged seven to 23), helped hand out the blankets.
She says she was touched to see the residents’ faces light up when they received the donations.
