Six shopping bags full of dagga seized

Almost 3kg of dagga was seized today.

While Springs SAPS were on routine patrols they noticed two suspicious looking men carrying a red bag.

They stopped and searched the suspects and found the red bag contained almost six shopping bags full of dagga.

The suspects, aged 24 and 27 years, were arrested and taken to the Springs Police Station.

When the police weighed the six bags they weighed almost 3kg combined with an approximate street value of R5 000.

It is believed one of the suspects is from Swaziland, but both suspects reside in Tsakane.

They were charged for possession of dagga and will appear in court tomorrow.

Springs police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora wasn’t available for comment at the time of publishing.
