The Mokka compact SUV is a brand new offering from Opel into the South African market which Hennie Korff, sales executive at Peter James Motors, believes will set new trends with its powerful array of features.

“Lots of people have commented on the great styling of the Mokka, which is a first in South Africa,” Korff comments.

Driving the 1.4 Enjoy was an absolute pleasure, as the vehicle effortlessly combines a powerful engine and all the mod cons you’d expect from this class of car.

These include climate control air conditioning, steering wheel controls for the radio, bluetooth connectivity, six airbags, central locking and front and back electric windows.

The Mokka comes in the 1.4 Enjoy and 1.4 Cosmo automatic and six speed manual transmissions.

All options allow for the back seats to be folded flat in a 60/40 configuration, extending the already massive boot should you need to transport anything bulky.

The Cosmo, which is the big brother to the Enjoy, offers some additional features which may make the price difference worth it for those seeking a little more comfort.

Included in the Cosmo’s features is blind spot protectors on both side mirrors to alert the driver when other cars on the road enter your blind spots, helping to avoid collisions should you or the other drive change lanes suddenly.

The Cosmo also offers parking distance sensors and is able to park itself.
