Michael Hart, a resident of Selection Park, says the lights on Hills Road bridge have not been working for the past three weeks.
“There are no lights on in Ridley Road either,” he says.
He believes the area is a prime sport for hijacking because there are no lights.
Ekurhuleni Metro spokesman Themba Gadebe says all the malfunctioning street lights that were reported were not working due to a cable fault.
He confirms they have all since been repaired.
“Residents are encouraged to continue reporting all faulty street lights through the municipal call centre,” adds Gadebe.
“The municipality wishes to apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
