A 28-year-old man lost his life following an accident in Selection Park, this morning (April 8).
The crash, which involved two vehicles, took place in Hewitt Avenue, at 1.30am.
When Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived on the scene, they found the man in a critical condition, still entrapped in his vehicle.
Netcare 911 spokesman Santi Steinmann says Ekurhuleni Emergency Services used the Jaws of Life to extricate him from the vehicle.
The man’s condition deteriorated rapidly and he died as a result of the extensive injuries he sustained.
The male driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries, and was treated on the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital.
