Two vehicles collided in Dersley

The accident on the corner of Paul Kruger Highway and Orpiment Road, Dersley last Wednesday left eight people seriously injured.

At 7.35am, the driver of a taxi allegedly had the right of way when a white Jeep collided with it.

EMPD spokesman Wilfred Kgasago, says eight people, including the driver of the taxi sustained serious injuries.

After the paramedics treated them on the scene they were all transported to a nearby hospital.

This accident caused a major pile up of morning traffic up Outeniqua Road at Modderbee Prison.

Kgasago says EMPD officials were regulating the traffic and it took about two hours before the road cleared.
